Nutrition Education Think your food might be making you sick? Learn to integrate balanced food choices and eating behaviors into your lifestyle. When our diet is fine-tuned, we can experience lasting energy, greater concentration, uplifted mood, and improved digestion. Conditions such as weight gain, fatigue, poor digestion, headaches, bowel troubles, even acne can all be improved with a little attention to what and how we eat.
Based on each client’s specific needs and goals, our work together will focus on:
- Identifying food sensitivities and intolerances
- Knowing the right ratios of protein, fat, and carbs for you
- Restoring proper gut function
- Supporting tired adrenals and rebalancing the hormonal system
- Finding and reducing internal stressors such as fungus and parasites
- Working with sugar cravings
- Detoxifying the body
- Preparing healthy meals
- Mindful eating techniques
- Local and seasonal eating
As a certified Metabolic Typing® advisor and Functional Diagnostic Nutrition practitioner, I am trained to use the Signet MRT test, the Metabolic Typing Advanced® questionnaire, and salivary tests to measure hormonal, immune, digestive, and detoxification function. These tools enable us to identify what systems in the body are out of balance, so that we can restore function with an individualized food and supplement program, along with daily rest, exercise and stress reduction.
Personal Training Exercise education and training for individuals seeking to improve or begin an exercise program, recover from pain, or improve performance.
Exercise Therapy and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) Sessions are highly specialized to a client’s symptoms and underlying causes of chronic or acute pain, or to a client’s needs of rehabilitation or prehabilitation - in preparation for a surgery or the possible elimination of need for surgery. Hands-on bodywork, stretching, and corrective exercises are combined to deliver an effective program. The client will receive thorough instruction on how to continue training on their own to speed recovery, pain relief, or prevention of injury or surgery.
Massage Therapy Bodywork sessions in a relaxing environment tailored to suit the needs of the client. A full spectrum of touch is available from gentle Swedish to deep tissue, and from general to specific therapy.
Every 13th massage is complimentary. Refer a new client and receive a free one hour massage! First-time clients for any service should allow extra time (about 20 minutes) for an initial consultative discussion at the first session. For example, set aside 80 minutes in your schedule for a 60 minute first-time massage appointment. This gives you an opportunity to tell us anything you feel is important for us to know about you before we begin our work together.
